Harvestwood Estates

Harvestwood Estates is an eight-lot residential subdivision in the Town of Middleboro, MA. The project consisted of a Low Impact Development (LID) that utilized a superelevated roadway and grassed swales to route and control stormwater rather than conventional drainage structures such as catch basins and manholes. The result is a very natural and aesthetically pleasing residential development.

MBL designed the low impact development around the sites sensitive resource areas, including a Certified Vernal Pool and Priority Habitat areas, leaving much of the land undeveloped in a permanent Conservation Restriction. MBL obtained approvals for the subdivision with the Town of Middleboro Planning Board and Conservation Commission and also provided the required permitting with MassDEP and Natural Heritage.
