Project Engineer
MBL Land Development & Permitting Corp. is expanding and seeks a motivated, experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team! If you're passionate about residential and commercial site development and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
Position Overview
As a Project Engineer at MBL, you'll play a critical role in designing innovative site solutions, navigating local and state permitting processes, and shaping the communities we serve. Your expertise in site layout, grading and drainage design, utility planning, and regulatory compliance will be key to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Design residential and commercial site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Prepare comprehensive civil engineering plans and reports.
- Conduct drainage calculations, wetlands reports, and environmental submissions.
- Represent MBL at municipal meetings and project hearings.
- Deliver professional presentations to clients, boards, and regulatory agencies.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player.
- Creative thinker and effective problem-solver.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and delegate effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (required).
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience (preferred).
- Soil Evaluator license (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).
- Experience with HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word; GIS experience a plus.

Senior Project Manager
As a Senior Project Manager at MBL Land Development & Permitting Corp., you will lead complex, high-impact projects spanning multiple business units. You’ll drive strategic initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a visible leadership role, ideal for a seasoned project manager who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager oversees a portfolio of complex initiatives, providing leadership for project teams and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You’ll be responsible for full project life cycle ownership, from planning and resource allocation to execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of large, complex projects across multiple business units.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Provide on-site leadership, motivating and mentoring project teams to achieve project goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage interdependencies, and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on status, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, metrics, and results to leadership and clients.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of project management standards.
- Mentor, coach, and support the professional development of project managers and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role managing large, complex projects.
- Proven expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ProjectManager, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop project teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and business acumen.

Survey Project Manager, PLS

Position Overview
As Survey Project Manager, you’ll lead survey projects from research to delivery, leveraging advanced technology and collaborating with engineers, architects, and construction teams. Your work will set the foundation for smart development and help resolve complex land boundaries for developers, private clients, and agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and record precise distances, angles, boundaries, and topographical features.
- Operate advanced surveying technology and CAD drafting programs.
- Research land records, historical surveys, and resolve boundary line issues.
- Prepare detailed maps, legal reports, and 3D property renderings.
- Establish official land/water boundaries for developers, private clients, and agencies.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to fuel smart development.
- Coordinate and supervise field crews and CAD technicians.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project status and findings to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Massachusetts (required); other state licenses a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and mapping skills.
- Self-driven, organized, and ready to work both in the field and office.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GPS systems.
- Experience with computer drafting software preferred.
